Hampton's style is still as popular as ever, and here in Australia we've embraced it whole-heartedly. There have been some stunning examples here in Brisbane, and I think it takes it to a whole new level when it's a Hamptons/Queenslander fusion - taking the best of both styles and merging them into the perfect example of style and practicality. Queensland homes are at their best when they're designed to embrace our sub-tropical climate, and this home has done that beautifully. Add in lashings of white paint, an expansive deck and outdoor entertainment area, and that kitchen - perfection. I was also thrilled when the owner/designer chose my artwork for her gorgeous home - I couldn't think of a lovelier setting. These prints are part of my range for Designer Boys, and they're now available on my website. They come ready-framed, and these are shown in the Faux Bamboo frame in Champagne Silver - definitely a favourite of mine.
Queensland meets the Hamptons
The kitchen is light and bright with a fantastic butler's pantry
Whitewashed oak floors are used throughout
Another shop of my Banana Palm prints, above the built-in bench seating
The master bedroom has its own private balcony, overlooking a bushland reserve...
...and it leads to this gorgeous ensuite and dressing room.
There is also a separate living area that leads through to the master suite. Here, the designer has used my Fern prints in Pale Blue
So what do you think? I think the owners have done an amazing job and this house is an absolute stunner. Big thanks to the owners for choosing my artwork - couldn't have asked for a more lovely setting!
