Beautiful Australian country house

Australian country house style is one of my favourites. When you have wide open spaces to build on – in this case, eight acres of prime land – you can really go to town creating a stunning homestead. The only limitations are your taste and imagination. Ok, and the B word. Budget. But let’s forget about that tiny little hurdle while we check out this stunner in country Victoria:

I love the intricate ceiling – and how gorgeous are those chevron floors?

Stunning. I’m not usually one for dark kitchen cabinetry but here, I think it works beautifully.

Now that’s a butler’s pantry. That alone is the size of most kitchens.

The master wing is accessed via this beautiful breezeway. I can imagine those doors thrown open on a warm night to let in the breeze…

…and then you arrive to this. Oh hey, and there are some of my abstract paintings for Designer Boys! I must say the colours suit this room to a tee.

I wouldn’t need the rest of the house if this was mine. Love everything.

Ok, so maybe I could drag myself out for a swim. Pretty spectacular, isn’t it?
